On July 29, the Southern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army organized naval and air forces to conduct combat readiness patrols in the sea and air around China's Huangyan Island. Since July, the command has continuously enhanced patrols and vigilance in the sea and air areas around Huangyan Island with naval and air forces, further strengthening control over relevant sea and air areas, resolutely defending national sovereignty and security, and firmly maintaining peace and stability in the South China Sea region.
