AIA Life Insurance was attacked by hackers, and customer information was leaked.
In a statement, Allianz Life Insurance Company stated that hackers have obtained personal information of most of its 1.4 million customers in the US, as well as some employee data. Allianz Life stated: "On July 16, 2025, a malicious threat actor successfully breached the cloud-based customer relationship management system provided by a third party. We have taken immediate action to control and mitigate the impact of the incident, and have reported it to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)." In cases where CRM systems are hacked, the leaked personal identity information typically includes names, addresses, and birthdates, rather than more sensitive financial data. Allianz Life stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and there is currently no evidence that its internal systems or "other company systems" have been breached.
