Maer Dan Mugaiti, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on the 17th that in the first half of the year, the leading group for rural work organized an assessment to effectively connect the consolidation and expansion of the achievements in poverty alleviation with rural revitalization. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs also conducted on-site research and found that there are still some issues to varying degrees, such as the overall low quality of support for industrial development, insufficient momentum for poverty alleviation in both people and areas, and the persistent risk of falling back into poverty. The consolidation and expansion of the achievements in poverty alleviation must not be slackened. Next, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will promote all regions and relevant departments to focus on four areas of effort based on rectifying the issues discovered in the assessment, ensuring a successful conclusion to the transition period.
