Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao stated at the "High-Quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan" series of press conference held by the State Council Information Office on July 18 that China's status as a major economic and trading power has been further consolidated, and the significant achievements in high-quality development are evident. Despite facing pressure, foreign trade has shown resilience, with the scale of goods trade remaining the largest in the world, and international market shares of exports and imports consistently stable at over 14% and 10% respectively. The scale of service trade remains the second largest in the world.
