Over 20,000 high temperature warning messages have been issued nationwide.
According to data from the National Early Warning Information Center, as of 12:00 on July 16, 2025, a total of 20,248 high temperature alerts have been issued nationwide, an increase of 40.31% compared to the same period last year and an increase of 72.02% compared to the historical average since 2017. Statistics show that the meteorological department in Hebei Province has issued a total of 25 high temperature alerts this year, which is 8 more than the same period last year. The average number of high temperature days in the province is 16 days, 7 days more than usual for the same period. In Hunan Province, from June 29 to July 15 this year, the Hunan Provincial Meteorological Bureau issued 17 consecutive high temperature alerts for 17 days, including 10 yellow alerts, 6 orange alerts, and 1 red alert.
