Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao stated at the "High-Quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan" series themed press conference held by the State Council Information Office on July 18 that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, restrictive measures in the service consumption sector will continue to be reduced. Wang Wentao pointed out that the Ministry of Commerce is addressing the shortage of high-quality services on the supply side through "opening up to the outside" and "opening up to the inside." "Opening up to the outside" means adding, expanding the opening of pilot projects in medical and other fields, and introducing more high-quality services; "opening up to the inside" means subtracting, promoting the introduction of a series of "1+N" policies to support the high-quality development of service consumption, carrying out actions to improve the quality and benefit the people in the field of health, elderly care, household services, and other segmented areas, reducing restrictive measures and enriching service supply. This work will continue to be promoted during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
