In the first half of the year, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 24.6 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year increase in growth rate each quarter. The consumption in the service industry has been accelerating in the first half of the year, indicating an increase in the proportion of service consumption; holiday consumption is increasing; the growth rate of upgraded consumption is accelerating; green consumption is becoming a new trend; Chinese tourism and shopping are heating up; new consumption patterns and formats are emerging constantly. Sheng Laiyun expressed that from the above-mentioned characteristics, one can feel that in the first half of the year, the Chinese consumer market has become more active under a series of policies to boost domestic demand and consumption, combined with the ongoing impact of consumption policies, consumption growth in the second half of the year has support and is full of optimistic expectations. Sheng Laiyun emphasized that China is in a crucial stage of upgrading its consumption structure, with vast opportunities in cultural tourism consumption, medical health consumption, elderly care consumption, etc. Sheng Laiyun also stated that for consumption to continue to develop healthily, it is necessary to increase income levels, further improve the consumption environment, and therefore all departments and local governments need to continue implementing the central government's calls to boost domestic demand, stabilize employment and increase income, improve the consumption environment, and increase the supply of high-quality consumption.
