Airbus and Xi'an Aircraft Company in Tianjin officially start cooperation to begin A321 fuselage system assembly work.
Airbus and CAC West Faxin, a subsidiary of AVIC, have officially started cooperation to begin A321 aircraft body system assembly work in Tianjin. This is the first time this aircraft model has undergone body system assembly work in China, marking a further deepening of Airbus's industrial layout in China. The front and rear fuselage of the first A321 aircraft to undergo body system assembly in China arrived at Tianjin Port by sea at the beginning of July and were smoothly transported to the West Faxin Tianjin plant. Over the next approximately 50 working days, the Airbus team will work closely with West Faxin Tianjin to complete a series of processes, including factory inspection, isolation installation, bracket installation, electrical, electronic, drainage, oxygen, flight control, hydraulic system installation and testing, with the aim of delivering the system-assembled fuselage to Airbus Tianjin A320 series aircraft final assembly line for final assembly by October this year.
