On July 12, the Jiangxi Football Association issued a situation report: In 2019, during the adult group competition of the Jiangxi Football Association Cup, Nanchang team player Liu Zhen was punished with a lifetime suspension by the Jiangxi Football Association for violating the spirit and discipline of the game. Afterwards, Liu Zhen deeply recognized his mistake and showed remorse, appealing multiple times to the Jiangxi Football Association, expressing his great love for football and hoping to lighten the punishment. In August 2021, the Jiangxi Football Association, in accordance with the "Chinese Football Association Disciplinary Rules," reviewed and examined his behavior that year, and decided to adjust his punishment from "lifetime suspension" to "18 months ban from competition." According to the "Competition Regulations of the 2025 Jiangxi Provincial Urban Football Super League," the Jiangxi Football Association conducted qualification checks and publicized all participating players before the competition, deeming Liu Zhen eligible to participate.
