The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Electronics Information Department organized a kickoff meeting for the development planning of the electronic information manufacturing industry for the "14th Five-Year Plan" on July 2, 2025 in Beijing. The meeting pointed out that the electronic information manufacturing industry is a strategic, basic, and leading industry of the national economy, playing a key role in stabilizing industrial economic growth, maintaining national security, and establishing the material and technological foundation for China's modernization. Scientifically formulating the development plan for the "14th Five-Year Plan" of the electronic information manufacturing industry is crucial for promoting industry building, cultivating new quality productivity, achieving high-quality development, and accelerating the advancement of the new industrialization. The meeting emphasized that three things must be done well in the preparation of the development plan for the electronic information manufacturing industry of the "14th Five-Year Plan". Firstly, it is necessary to strengthen the political position, thoroughly implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the preparation of the "14th Five-Year Plan", enhance theoretical guidance, adhere to the guidance of the Party's innovative theory, accelerate the establishment of a new development pattern, and coordinate development and security. Secondly, it is necessary to focus on the core goal, grasp the stage requirements, deeply understand the stage characteristics and requirements of the "14th Five-Year Plan", adhere to the unity of goal orientation and problem orientation, cultivate and develop new quality productivity according to local conditions.
