Toyota's annual report shows that Chairman Akio Toyoda's director remuneration for the fiscal year 2024 (April 2024 to March 2025) was 19.49 billion yen (approximately RMB 964.3 million). Compared to the previous fiscal year 2023 (ending in March 2024) when he set a record for the highest director remuneration in Toyota's history at 16.22 billion yen, this represents a 20% increase and has set a new historical high for four consecutive years. Akio Toyoda's ability to receive such high remuneration is closely related to Toyota's outstanding performance in the fiscal year 2024. Toyota's operating revenue for 2024 was 48.04 trillion yen, an increase of 6.5% year-on-year; operating profit was 4.77 trillion yen, a decrease of 3.6% year-on-year. Pre-tax profit was 6.41 trillion yen, a decrease of 7.9% year-on-year; and net profit was 4.77 trillion yen (approximately RMB 234 billion), ranking as the highest among global automotive companies.
