On June 21, it was learned from the water resources, meteorology, emergency response, and other departments in Hunan Province that since June 18, the north and northwest regions of Hunan have been hit by severe heavy rainstorms, causing more than 400,000 people in 7 cities and prefectures including Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Zhangjiajie City, and Changde City to be affected.
