According to the website of the Guangxi Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision on June 21, with the approval of the Party committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Disciplinary Commission of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region conducted a case investigation into the serious violations of discipline and law by Chen Hua, former member of the Party group and deputy mayor of the People's Government of Hezhou City. After investigation, it was found that Chen Hua had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original aspirations and missions, was disloyal and dishonest to the Party, colluded with others, resisted organizational inspections, failed to fulfill his main responsibility in strictly governing the Party, and carried out costly and damaging "image projects" and "achievement projects." He ignored the spirit of the Eight-point Regulation of the central government, accepted gifts and money in violation of regulations, accepted invitations and travel arrangements that could affect the fair execution of official duties. He violated organizational principles by not truthfully explaining issues when questioned by the organization; he breached the bottom line of integrity by borrowing money for relatives from management and service targets. He did not properly fulfill his duties, interfered in and intervened in market economic activities, displayed greed, abused his power, intervened in engineering projects at will, and used his position to profit in project contracting and promotion, engaging in power-for-money transactions and illegally accepting a large amount of property. Chen Hua seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, work discipline, and life discipline, which constitutes a serious violation of duty and suspicion of bribery crimes. Since the 18th National Congress of the Party, he has not restrained himself, and his actions are of a serious nature and have had a negative impact, therefore he should be severely dealt with. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Disciplinary Measures of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Civil Servants Disciplinary Regulations of the People's Republic of China," after the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Disciplinary Commission's standing committee meeting and approval by the Party committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, it was decided to expel Chen Hua from the Party; the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Supervisory Commission would revoke his public office; terminate his qualifications as a delegate to the Fifth Party Congress of Hezhou City; confiscate the illegal gains; and transfer the suspected criminal issues to the procuratorate for investigation and prosecution in accordance with the law, along with the transfer of the relevant properties.
