After the accident, the public security, health, and emergency departments rushed to the scene for rescue. After investigation, it was found that the driver of the passenger bus, Jin, was driving to pick up students and caused the accident due to overspeeding and slippery road conditions caused by rain. Both drivers tested negative for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Currently, the bus driver Jin has been criminally detained according to law, and accident investigation and related follow-up work are ongoing.
