The first direct tourist train from Xining to Chaka Salt Lake will be launched in 2025.

After more than four hours of travel, the "Sky Mirror" tourism special train arrived at Chaka Salt Lake Scenic Area in Qinghai at 13:23 on June 21. This is also the first tourist special train operated by the Qinghai-Tibet Railway Group Co., Ltd. this year from Xining directly to Chaka Salt Lake.
