Hong Kong National Security Law Implemented for 5 Years Forum Held, Li Jiachao: Cherish Stability and Seize Development Opportunities

On June 21, the Forum on the 5th Anniversary of the Implementation of Hong Kong National Security Law was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Xia Baolong, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, and Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam delivered keynote speeches. Lam stated that stability is the prerequisite for development and reform; without stability, there is no foundation for development, let alone talk of reform. With the institutional guarantee of "one country, two systems," the protection of the Hong Kong National Security Law, and the integration and complementarity of the "National Security Law," Hong Kong's development and reform can steadily advance, exert greater strength, and make greater contributions to the construction of a strong country and the great rejuvenation of the nation.
