The "2025 Automobile Industry Statistics Work Conference" organized by the China Automobile Industry Association was successfully held in Xi'an, Shaanxi from June 18 to 21, 2025. Deputy Secretary-General Chen Shihua of the China Automobile Association shared the economic situation of the automobile industry in the first half of the year, detailing the current industry operation, the problems and difficulties facing the industry, and policy suggestions. Overall, with the push of a series of policies and the accelerated application of enterprise innovation achievements, the automotive industry is showing a stable and positive development trend. In the first five months of this year, both automobile production and sales achieved a growth of over 10%. The domestic market has significantly improved under policy stimulation, playing a good supporting role. Despite facing increased challenges from the international situation, vehicle exports still show good resilience and maintain stable growth. New energy vehicles continue to grow rapidly, with domestic sales of new energy passenger cars accounting for over 50% in the first five months, and domestic sales of new energy commercial vehicles accounting for over 20%.
