According to the report of the Mexican National Meteorological Service on June 19th, Hurricane "Erick" made landfall in Mexico in the early hours of that day. Around 5:30 am on the 19th, Hurricane "Erick" landed in the city of Pinotepa Nacional in Oaxaca state. According to the report of the Mexican National Water Commission, although Hurricane "Erick" briefly strengthened to a category four hurricane early in the morning of the 19th with maximum gusts of up to 250 kilometers per hour, it ultimately made landfall as a category three hurricane with sustained winds of 230 kilometers per hour. Hurricane "Erick" has caused significant impacts along the coast of Oaxaca and Guerrero states in Mexico, with strong rainfall and winds causing multiple large trees to fall, some flights to be canceled, and the Federal Electricity Commission of Mexico to be on alert for possible power outages. Local governments have activated emergency plans, and there are currently no reports of casualties.
