Yesterday, Zhuhai Airport held a celebration event for the 30th anniversary of regular flights. Zhuhai Jinwan Airport has an annual passenger throughput of nearly 13 million, making it the airport with the highest passenger volume among all domestic airports that only operate domestic flights, and also the third largest airport in Guangdong Province. In December 2023, Hong Kong International Airport and Zhuhai Airport collaborated to launch the "Traveling through Zhuhai and Hong Kong" passenger project, where passengers can first fly from domestic cities to Zhuhai Airport, transfer to a border-crossing bus at Zhuhai Port, travel through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and directly reach the restricted area of Hong Kong International Airport to travel to various destinations around the world. By the end of May 2025, nearly 65,000 passengers have used the "Traveling through Zhuhai and Hong Kong" service. Currently, Zhuhai Airport is committed to building an "important trunk airport in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" to provide strong support for the development of the world-class airport cluster in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
