The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) announced today the "China Public Procurement Development Report." According to the report, the total amount of public procurement in China in 2024 decreased compared to the previous year, with a clear differentiation in structure, and state-owned enterprises played a stabilizing role in procurement. The total amount of national public procurement in 2024 was 45 trillion yuan, a decrease of 2.18% compared to the previous year. Specifically, in the context of normalized fiscal tightening, government procurement continued the trend of "three consecutive decreases," reaching approximately 3.3 trillion yuan in 2024. The total expenditure of state-owned enterprises in procurement showed a trend of "steady progress and slight increase." In 2024, the total amount of engineering, goods, and services procurement by central enterprises exceeded 18 trillion yuan, while the production and operation procurement expenditure of local state-owned enterprises remained largely unchanged from last year, and non-productive procurement expenditure was strictly controlled and slightly decreased compared to the previous year.
