The engine had just ignited when the spacecraft suddenly exploded and disintegrated, with a huge fireball shooting into the sky. SpaceX is investigating the cause of the explosion. This was a static fire test conducted before the test flight of the "Starship," which was originally scheduled for June 30th. On May 27th, the "Starship" had its ninth test flight, but the rocket's second stage spacecraft lost control and disintegrated after entering space.
