Taiwan's weighted index fell 1.6%

The Taiwan Stock Exchange Weighted Index fell 1.6% to 22,003.50 points in Taipei. It was the largest decline since June 2nd, following a 0.7% increase the previous trading day. Semiconductor stocks led the market lower, with all sectors declining. TSMC fell 1.9%.
