The China Meteorological Administration issued a blue alert for severe convective weather at 06:00 on June 19th.

It is expected that from 08:00 on June 19 to 08:00 on June 20, some areas in the central and southern parts of the northeastern region, southeastern part of North China, central and eastern parts of the Huang-Huai region, Jianghan region, eastern part of southwestern region, and northwestern part of South China will experience thunderstorms with wind speeds of level 8 or above, as well as hail. Among them, some areas in the western and northern parts of Liaoning, central and northern parts of Shandong, will experience thunderstorms with wind speeds of level 10 or above, with maximum wind speeds reaching level 11 or above. Some areas in the central and southern parts of the northeastern region, eastern and southern parts of North China, Huang-Huai region, Jianghuai region, Jianghan region, western and northern parts of Jiangnan, eastern part of southwestern region, and northern part of South China will experience short duration heavy rainfall with hourly precipitation exceeding 20mm. Among them, some areas in the central and eastern parts of Shandong, eastern parts of Henan, central parts of Jiangsu, eastern and southern parts of Hubei, northwestern part of Hunan, southwestern part of Guizhou, will experience hourly rainfall exceeding 50mm, with maximum reaching over 80mm. It is expected that the main period of severe convection will be from this afternoon to tonight.
