The United Nations voted to establish the "International Day Against Unilateral Coercive Measures."
On the 16th local time, the 79th United Nations General Assembly voted to adopt a draft resolution to establish December 4th as the "International Day Against Unilateral Coercive Measures", and to hold commemorative activities every year starting from 2025 to promote the elimination of unilateral coercive economic measures as a means of political and economic coercion. The draft resolution was proposed by the "Friends of the Charter of the United Nations" group, with China being one of the proposing countries. The proposal was adopted with 116 votes in favor, 51 votes against, and 6 abstentions.
