Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation joins the national carbon trading market.

Recently, the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment announced the list of key emitting units in Hubei included in the national carbon emission trading market in 2024 and 2025. In accordance with the requirements for expanding the national carbon emission trading market, Hubei will have 47 new companies participating in national carbon market transactions. According to the list, Hubei will have 7 steel enterprises including Wuhan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., Daye Special Steel Co., Ltd., and Baowu Group Echeng Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., 38 cement enterprises including Hubei Yadao Cement Co., Ltd., Yangxin Wanshi Cement Co., Ltd., and Hua Xin Cement Co., Ltd., and 2 aluminum smelting enterprises including Hanjiang Danjiangkou Aluminum Co., Ltd., and Qianjiang Zhenghao Huasheng Aluminum Co., Ltd. participating in the national carbon trading.
