4.8 magnitude earthquake in Gongxian County, Sichuan Province, China; Sichuan Provincial Seismological Bureau initiates level four emergency response.

The China Earthquake Network officially determined: At 18:37 on June 15th, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake occurred in Gongxian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, with a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter is 25 kilometers from Gongxian County, 36 kilometers from Xingwen County, 36 kilometers from Changning County, 37 kilometers from Yunlian County, 40 kilometers from Gao County, 59 kilometers from Yibin City, 269 kilometers from Chengdu City, and 219 kilometers from Chongqing City. After the magnitude 4.8 earthquake in Gongxian County, Sichuan Province, the Sichuan Provincial Seismological Bureau immediately activated a level four emergency response, connected with the China Earthquake Administration to report the latest seismic situation, and jointly conducted a seismic situation consultation and judgment with the network center to deploy the next steps of work.
