The new Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed railway successfully crosses the Shanghai-Chengdu railway with a thousand-ton steel truss beam.

In the early morning of June 15th, a nearly thousand-ton steel girder of the newly built Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway, undertaken by China Railway Fourth Bureau, successfully spanned the Shanghai-Rongchang Railway, laying the foundation for the subsequent beam erection construction. It is reported that the new Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway is an important part of the national medium and long-term railway network planning "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" along the Yangtze River corridor, providing a fast and direct access for cities along the Yangtze River in the north to the Nanjing metropolitan area and the Shanghai metropolitan area.
