According to a recent announcement from China Energy Construction, the Inner Mongolia Energy Wulate Middle Banner 1.5 million kilowatt wind storage base project, which is currently the largest onshore wind power project in China undertaken by China Energy Construction, has completed full capacity grid connection and started generating electricity. The project is located in Wulate Middle Banner, Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia, with a total construction area of about 400 square kilometers. The power station has a installed capacity of 1.5 million kilowatts, with 150 units of 10-megawatt wind turbines newly built. The project also includes 3 220 kV booster stations and supporting facilities, making it the first large-scale onshore wind power project in China to use 10-megawatt turbine units.
