Consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble Co. said on Thursday that as part of a restructuring plan of non-core businesses, the company will lay off 7,000 employees globally in the next two years, accounting for about 15% of its non-production positions. P&G executives said at a Deutsche Bank conference in Paris that the company also plans to exit certain categories, brands, and individual market product forms, and may involve the divestiture of some brands. As of June 30, 2024, the company had over 100,000 employees.
