Consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble Co. said Thursday that as part of a restructuring plan for non-core businesses, the company will cut 7,000 jobs globally over the next two years, accounting for about 15% of its non-manufacturing positions. Procter & Gamble executives said at a Deutsche Bank conference in Paris that the company also plans to exit certain categories, brands, and individual market product forms, and may involve the divestiture of some brands. As of June 30, 2024, the company had more than 100,000 employees.
