According to the information from the Hebei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, recently, with the approval of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee, the Hebei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision initiated an investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal violations of Li Yong, former Party Secretary and President of the Intermediate People's Court of Shijiazhuang City. After investigation, it was found that Li Yong had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original intentions and mission, was disloyal and dishonest to the Party, colluded with others to fabricate evidence, transferred and concealed evidence, obstructed organizational investigations; disregarded the spirit of the central government's eight-point regulations by accepting banquets that could affect the impartial execution of official duties; was corrupt, lacked self-discipline, received gifts and money in violation of regulations, and obtained substantial returns through private lending; abused his power, intervened in judicial activities; sought personal gain through cases, made improper judgments, used his official position to benefit others in case handling, project contracting, and illegally accepted large sums of money. Li Yong has seriously violated political discipline, integrity discipline, work discipline of the Party, and has committed serious violations of duty, suspected of bribery, favoritism, abuse of power in judicial activities, and civil misconduct in judgments. Since the 18th National Congress of the Party, he has not restrained himself and has continued his misconduct. Based on relevant regulations such as the "Regulations on Disciplinary Action of the Communist Party of China", the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China", and the "Administrative Sanctions for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China", the Hebei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, after deliberation at a meeting of the Standing Committee, with approval from the Hebei Provincial Party Committee, has decided to expel Li Yong from the Party; the Hebei Provincial Supervisory Commission has decided to dismiss him from public office; to recover the ill-gotten gains from his violations of discipline and law; and to refer the suspected crimes to the procuratorate for investigation and prosecution in accordance with the law, with all relevant property confiscated.
