According to a report from the United Morning Post website on May 25 cited by Reuters, US chip giant NVIDIA is reportedly launching an artificial intelligence chip based on the Blackwell architecture for the Chinese market, with a price significantly lower than the previous H20 chip, and is expected to start mass production as early as June. The report states that this new generation AI processor using the latest Blackwell architecture is expected to be priced between $6,500 and $8,000, significantly lower than the pricing of the H20. Lower prices typically mean that the chip's specifications are relatively weaker and the manufacturing process is more simplified. This will be NVIDIA's third time launching downgraded chips for the Chinese market to comply with US regulatory requirements. The US government recently banned NVIDIA from selling the H20 chip based on the Hopper architecture to China.
