According to the news from the Provincial Automobile Industry Association on May 23, the province's automobile production in the first four months reached 630,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 33.3%, which was 22.2 percentage points higher than the national average. The added value of the automotive manufacturing industry increased by 32.4% year-on-year. Among them, the production of passenger vehicles was 578,000 vehicles, an increase of 37.5% year-on-year; the production of commercial vehicles was 52,000 vehicles. The production of new energy vehicles was 449,000 vehicles, an increase of 44.8% year-on-year, which was 1.1 percentage points higher than the national average. In the first four months, the leading enterprises in the province's automobile manufacturing industry performed well: Xi'an BYD's production reached 407,000 vehicles, an increase of 43.1% year-on-year; the total production value of vehicles reached 51.2 billion yuan, an increase of 43% year-on-year; the production value of parts reached 6.31 billion yuan, an increase of 34.6% year-on-year. Xi'an Geely's production reached 119,000 vehicles, an increase of 51.7% year-on-year; the total production value of vehicles reached 11.2 billion yuan, an increase of 37.3% year-on-year; the production value of parts reached 1.78 billion yuan.
