The report shows that by 2024, the total annual consumption of participants in road running events certified by the Chinese Athletics Association will reach 168 billion yuan. The report points out that in recent years, the economic development of road running events in China has been remarkable. By 2024, the total annual consumption of participants in CAA-certified events will reach 168 billion yuan, an increase of 26% compared to 2023. Direct consumption, including clothing, shoes and hats, wearable professional equipment, event registration fees, health recovery, and purchase of sports nutrition products, exceeded 98 billion yuan, while indirect consumption, such as eating, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment, exceeded 69 billion yuan due to participation in events.
