The French police announced that the massive power outage in France was caused by arson. This outage affected up to 160,000 households in the city of Cannes and its surrounding areas. Local police officials strongly condemned this "act of sabotage against our infrastructure" in a statement, stating that the power outage was caused by a fire at a high-voltage substation at 4:30 AM local time.
