Many places have introduced new policies to increase support for childbirth. Changchun City will implement the national childcare subsidy and the provincial rewards for the birth of second and third children.

Today, six departments in Chengdu issued the "Implementation Plan for Boosting Consumption Special Actions by 2025", proposing to increase support for childbirth and childcare, improve the implementation of positive childbirth support policies, and establish a sound system of relevant policy measures. On May 20, the "Implementation Plan for Boosting Consumption Special Actions in Changchun City" was publicly soliciting opinions, proposing to increase support for childbirth, implement national childcare subsidies, and implement second and third child childbirth rewards in the province. Support for the development of universal childcare services, subsidies for public childcare service institutions in the urban area of Changchun City will be 2400 yuan per year per child, and 1800 yuan per year per child in other areas; for self-financed public and universal private childcare service institutions, subsidies in the urban area of Changchun City will be 3600 yuan per year per child, and 2400 yuan per year per child in other areas. At the same time, on May 20, the government official website of Shenmu City in Shaanxi Province issued the "Implementation Plan for Maternity and Childcare Subsidies in Shenmu City", providing a one-time childbirth subsidy of 5000 yuan to families giving birth to a second child; a one-time childbirth subsidy of 10,000 yuan to families giving birth to a third child. Families giving birth to a second child will receive an annual childcare subsidy of 3000 yuan, paid until the child is 2 years old; families giving birth to a third child will receive an annual childcare subsidy of 10,000 yuan, paid until the child is 3 years old.
