US Treasury bond prices are generally lower, with yields on bonds of different maturities increasing by 2-6 basis points. Long-term US bond yields are leading the way, with the market awaiting the 20-year Treasury bond auction scheduled for 1 pm New York time. The yield on 10-year US Treasury bonds rose by approximately 5 basis points to 4.53%, while yields on German and British government bonds rose by 0.5 and 2.5 basis points respectively. The steepening of the yield curve led to a widening of the yield spread between 2-year and 10-year bonds, as well as between 5-year and 30-year bonds by 2-3 basis points.
