Russian authorities seize an oil tanker departing from Estonia.

According to Estonian Public Broadcasting on Sunday, citing the Estonian Ministry of Transport, Russia has detained an oil tanker named "Green Appreciation" flying the flag of Liberia. The oil tanker had set off from the port of Sillame and was passing through Russian territorial waters at the time. The report stated that the oil tanker is owned by the Greek company Aegean Shipping and was carrying shale oil. Its planned route was agreed upon beforehand, with the final destination being Rotterdam. This incident comes three days after Russia deployed a plane to intercept an Estonian attempt to stop a Russian "shadow tanker."
