The 44th meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the National People's Congress was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the morning of the 30th. Chairman Zhao Leji presided over the meeting. The meeting heard a report from Shen Chunyao, Vice Chairman of the Constitution and Law Committee of the National People's Congress, on the deliberation of the draft amendments to the Law on Promotion of Private Economy, the draft amendments to the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, and the decision draft on temporarily adjusting the relevant provisions of the Seed Law applicable in the China Pilot Free Trade Zones by the State Council. The meeting also deliberated on the draft resolutions. The meeting heard a report from Liu Qi, Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, on other items to be proposed for a vote. The Chairman's Meeting decided to submit the above-mentioned drafts and proposals to be voted on at the closing meeting of the 15th session of the 14th Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
