Container data company Vizion: Freight booking volume from China to the United States sharply declined.

According to statistics from the container data company Vizion, the volume of freight bookings from China to the United States has sharply declined recently. From March 24 to April 14, the container booking volume from China to the United States decreased from 134,911 TEU to 81,239 TEU, a 39.9% decrease in three weeks. Especially since the announcement of the "tit-for-tat tariffs" policy, the freight booking volume from China to the United States has dropped to below 100,000 TEU, leading to a "significant collapse," with year-on-year decreases of 21.3% and 44.5% in the first two weeks of April. Although there was some recovery in booking volume in the third week of April compared to the previous week, it still decreased by 48.6% compared to the same period last year.
