Mass production is facing obstacles, the iPhone 17Pro's new coating plan may be scrapped.
On April 29th, the technology media MacRumors released a blog post, suggesting that Apple may have cancelled its original plans to use a super-strong scratch-resistant and anti-reflective display coating technology for the iPhone 17 Pro series. Apple originally planned to equip the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with this technology, marking the first time that the iPhone would utilize anti-reflective display technology. However, the latest news indicates that Apple has encountered bottlenecks in mass producing this technology. The production process is too slow, unable to meet Apple's manufacturing needs for millions of devices every year, even if only limited to the Pro series models, they have not been able to achieve this year's mass production target.
