Google announced this week that as of October 25, it will no longer support the first and second generation Nest Learning Thermostats nor release any related software updates. In addition, Google will completely stop launching new Nest products in Europe. Google stated: "In order to fully focus on technological advancements and bring cutting-edge features to you on our latest generation of Nest thermostats, we will gradually stop supporting the three oldest devices, each of which has been in use for more than a decade."
