Wang Yi meets with Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Sayyidov
On April 25th local time, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Uzbek Foreign Minister Saeedov in Almaty. Wang Yi said that under the personal care and promotion of President Xi Jinping and President Mirziyoyev, China-Uzbekistan relations have reached a new height of all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era, demonstrating broader development prospects. The strategic mutual trust between the two sides continues to deepen, and all-round mutually beneficial cooperation has made positive progress. The growth of bilateral trade and investment is encouraging, major projects have started construction, the visa waiver agreement is being implemented, and the Uzbekistan Tourism Year in China has opened smoothly. China is willing to work with Uzbekistan to accelerate cooperation in key areas, promote the early opening of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, expand cooperation in new areas such as artificial intelligence, digital trade, and climate change, create a more outstanding cooperation "report card", and help each other promote the process of modernization and accelerate development and revitalization. China will adhere to the goals and tasks set at the Central Peripheral Work Conference, adhere to the policy of being a good neighbor, a friend, and a partner, work together to build a community of shared future with neighboring countries, and strengthen strategic mutual trust, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and build a closer China-Central Asia community of shared destiny with Uzbekistan and other countries in Central Asia.
