The journalist learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that on the 12th, the Ministry of Water Resources initiated a level IV emergency response for flood prevention in seven provinces including Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Guizhou. According to the forecast, from June 12th to 14th, affected by both cold and warm air, there will be a mobile strong rainfall process in the southwestern, eastern and southern parts of China, with the main focus on heavy to torrential rain. In some areas, such as central Guizhou, southern Hunan, eastern and southern Jiangxi, southern Zhejiang, western Fujian, northern Guangdong, and northern eastern parts of Guangxi, there may be torrential to heavy rain, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall. In the areas of heavy rain, there is a possibility of rivers such as the Beijiang section in northern Guangdong, Futunxi and Jianxi in Fujian, Nanchuan Water in Xiangjiang tributary in Hunan, and Yeji River in the Wujiang tributary in Guizhou possibly experiencing flooding beyond the warning levels.
