The China E-commerce Logistics Index for May is 111.0 points, an increase of 0.4 points from the previous month. Among the main sub-indices, the total business volume index for e-commerce logistics is 128.3 points, an increase of 0.4 points month-on-month. In addition, the demand for rural e-commerce logistics markets has fully recovered, with the index for rural e-commerce logistics business volume stopping its decline and rebounding. Among them, the western region saw the largest increase. In May, both the total business volume and business volume of rural e-commerce logistics grew by over 20% year-on-year. In terms of categories, traditional essential product categories like clothing and beauty products have a stable foundation and a steady trend; seasonal special fresh agricultural products such as cherries and lychees are producing and selling well, with faster circulation; technology products such as smart home devices and wearable technology remain popular, and high-end digital technology products are accelerating their entry into ordinary households. The consumption structure is shifting towards intelligence and quality transformation, while emerging consumption scenes such as outdoor sports and the pet economy continue to expand, becoming new highlights of market growth.
