On May 3, SAIC Group released its latest sales data, achieving a total vehicle sales of 328,000 units in April, ranking as the top-selling Chinese automaker for the fourth consecutive month. From January to April, total vehicle sales reached 1.302 million units, with various business sectors showing strong performance. The sales of SAIC's independent brands saw a significant increase, with a 44% year-on-year growth in passenger car sales and a 130.4% increase in Zhiji car sales from January to April. Joint venture brands also rebounded, with SAIC-GM's sales reaching 156,000 units in the first four months, a 3.3% year-on-year increase. The sales of new energy vehicles remained stable, with 412,000 units sold from January to April, a 2.8% increase from the previous year. Overseas markets saw a surge in sales, with 459,000 units sold from January to April, a 50.2% year-on-year increase.
