Chinese representatives look forward to UN officials giving updates in Chinese.
On February 4th, local time, at the open meeting of the United Nations Security Council on counter-terrorism issues, the Acting Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, Alexander Zouev, reported the situation in English, Russian, French, and Spanish. Ambassador Sun Lei, the Deputy Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations, expressed during his speech that he looks forward to Zouev using Chinese for the next report. Zouev nodded with a smile after hearing this, indicating his agreement. It is understood that the official languages of the United Nations are Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Arabic.
