According to a report by Gartner Consulting, in February, global demand for display panels remained strong, with overall supply and demand in a tight balance. In terms of demand, the uncertainty of US tariff policies and the overseas production capacity of major brand manufacturers have not yet fully materialized, so brands are still inclined to increase inventory to cope with policy changes, supporting demand in the North American market. In the domestic market, driven by government subsidy policies, consumer demand for monitors is expected to further increase. In addition, the expected increase in display panel prices has led to continued demand for replenishment from low-priced customer groups. With multiple factors combined, global demand for display panels is expected to continue to improve in February. On the supply side, although the utilization rate of high-generation panels in the first quarter remains high, the continuous rise in TV panel prices and strong demand have put pressure on the supply of display panels, leading to an overall tightening of supply. Influenced by the transmission of TV panel price increases and profit demands, display panel manufacturers are eager to raise prices, but brand manufacturers are generally adopting a wait-and-see attitude, hoping to keep panel prices stable. Based on the overall supply and demand situation, it is expected that monitor OC panel prices will moderately increase in February, while module prices will remain stable. Suppliers are also working to meet the increasing demand for laptop panels, maintaining a relatively balanced supply and demand situation in the global laptop panel market in February. Monitor Panel: Gartner Consulting predicts that in February, mainstream specifications of Monitor OC panels will see a slight price increase, with the increase possibly expanding in March; LCM prices will remain stable in February and start to increase in March. Performance of different sizes is as follows: 21.5" FHD: In February, the price of Open cell panels increased by $0.1, while LCM prices remained stable; 23.8" FHD: In February, the price of Open cell panels increased by $0.1, while LCM prices remained stable; 27" FHD: In February, the price of Open cell panels increased by $0.1, while LCM prices remained stable; Notebook Panel: Gartner Consulting predicts that in February, TN panel prices will remain stable, with mainstream 16:9 panel prices remaining stable as well. However, in the fierce competition, prices of high-end panels are showing some differentiation. Performance of different sizes is as follows: Low-end HD TN: Mainstream TN LCM prices are expected to remain stable in January; IPS FHD & FHD+ products: 16:9 mainstream panel prices remain stable in January. Prices of entry-level and mainstream 16:10 modules remain stable, while prices of high-end panel specifications are showing differentiation.
