Ganfeng Lithium Group (002460.SZ) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Litio Minera Argentina S.A. (LMA), held a production ceremony for the first phase of the Mariana lithium salt lake project in Argentina on February 12, 2025. This marks the official start of production for the first phase of the Mariana lithium salt lake project.
Located in Salta Province, Argentina, the Mariana lithium salt lake project currently has an estimated lithium resource of approximately 8.121 million tons of LCE. Following the official start of production for the planned annual capacity of 20,000 tons of lithium chloride production line in the first phase of the Mariana lithium salt lake project, the company will actively accelerate the capacity ramp-up progress of the project. With the gradual release of capacity, the company will further optimize the supply and cost structure of its lithium resources, improve profitability, and continuously enhance the company's core competitiveness in the global market.
