Air China Limited (00753) announced that in October 2024, the company and its subsidiaries (referred to as the "Group") saw a year-on-year increase in passenger turnover (measured by revenue passenger kilometers). Passenger capacity input (measured by available seat kilometers) also increased by 14.5%, with passenger turnover increasing by 22.1%.
Specifically, domestic passenger capacity input increased by 3.0% year-on-year, with passenger turnover increasing by 11.5%; international passenger capacity input increased by 55.5%, with passenger turnover increasing by 65.4%; and regional passenger capacity input increased by 30.2%, with passenger turnover increasing by 35.8%. The average passenger load factor was 81.9%, up by 5.1 percentage points compared to the previous year. Domestic routes saw a 6.5 percentage point increase, international routes saw a 4.5 percentage point increase, and regional routes saw a 2.9 percentage point increase.
In terms of cargo, cargo capacity input (measured by available freight ton kilometers) increased by 20.3% year-on-year, with cargo and mail turnover (measured by revenue freight ton kilometers) increasing by 35.5%. The cargo load factor was 37.3%, up by 4.2 percentage points.
Starting on October 27, 2024, the company added a Shanghai Pudong-Hanoi route (seven times a week).
In October 2024, the Group introduced one ARJ21-700 aircraft. By the end of October 2024, the Group operated a total of 925 aircraft, including 406 owned aircraft, 223 leased through financing, and 296 operated through leasing agreements.
